The most common allergens that we do see within the school district are:
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
- Peanut/tree nut
- Eggs
- Wheat
- Dairy
- Gluten
- All classrooms will continue to be peanut/tree nut free (No snacks that include peanuts or tree nuts on labeling should be brought in with your student, please be mindful of the packaging labels, if labels say “processed with” or “may contain” nut products, those snacks should not be brought in).
- All processed foods are to be sent in their original packaging (this does not include fruits/vegetables)
- Students should not be sharing food with their classmates. In some situations, your classroom teacher may decide to do a shared snack system. That information will come directly from your classroom teacher.
- Fruits and Vegetables are encouraged to send in with your child.
- No homemade/baked goods
- The lower and upper cafeterias will remain the same. Those students with common allergens can sit in the upper cafeteria if they choose to do so. All specialty areas, such as the library, art room, music room, and gymnasiums, will continue to be allergy-free areas as well.
